Yu Zhiwen is a male professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Computer Science at Northwestern Polytechnical University. He is also the leader of the key technology innovation team in “Networked Intelligent Embedded Computing” in Shaanxi Province. He was awarded the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund in 2017, the first batch of National Excellent Youth Science Fund in 2012, and was selected for the “New Century Excellent Talents Support Program” by the Ministry of Education in 2009. He received his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2000, 2003, and 2005, respectively. From 2004 to 2010, he worked at the Institute for Infocomm Research in Singapore, Nagoya University and Kyoto University in Japan, and Mannheim University in Germany. He currently holds various positions such as the director of the Discipline Construction Office, the deputy director of the Key Laboratory of Embedded System Technology in Shaanxi Province, and the director of the Institute of Ubiquitous and Intelligent Computing. He was also the deputy dean of the School of Computer Science from 2011 to 2014.
